This is Kate's last week with Kids Commute and IPR, so we're sharing some of our very favorite Kids Commute music!

Dearest Kids Commuters,

Kate Botello here, with some news. I'm moving away to a new state, and this will be my last week with IPR, Quizbot and you.

I'm going to miss all of you so, so much!

While this is the last week that Quizbot and I are hosting the show, don't worry! IPR is working on something special: we want YOU to host the show and help us keep sharing awesome classical music with kids every day.

Click here for instructions on how to host the show!

Hosting Kids Commute and interacting with all of you has been a wonderful, special experience. Thanks to each and every one of you who have listened or answered our Quizlets over the years. Whether you've just joined us or have been with us the whole time, you're all Kids Commuters through and through.

This week, we're celebrating our joyous eight season run with some of my all-time favorite music featured on the show.

Thanks to Matt and Rayna Archibald, Tony Bero, John Bogley, Scott Clemens, Leslie Dunner, Matthew Duvall, Alexandra Herryman, Joseph Levesque, Peter Payette, Peggy Pierson, Amanda Sewell, Katie Schlomer, Matthew Schlomer, Dan Wanschura, and all who have been a part of Kids Commute over the years.

Extra special thanks to the one and only Emily Duncan Wilson, Kids Commute Producer extraordinaire. It's been an honor and a privilege to work with you. You're the best, Em.

Kids Commute Producer Emily Duncan Wilson is super awesome!

To Quizbot - Beep beep boop. Beep! Boop beep-beep boop beep. (Quizbot will understand what that means.)

Thank you all so much.

I'll leave you with words from "Charlotte's Web" by E.B. White:

"You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing."

Love,

Kate

KC Kate's faves week! Tuesday: "O figlie amabili/Cenerentola, vien qua!" from "La Cenerentola" by Gioachino Rossini, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and the Scottish Opera Chorus

Here's a very funny version of the scene starring a Elina Garanca as Cenerentola!

KC Kate's faves week! Wednesday: "Pomme Cannelle" by Alain-Pierre Pradel, performed by William Chapman Nyaho

The pomme cannelle - or "sugar apple"

KC Kate's faves week! Thursday: "When the Foeman Bares His Steel" from "The Pirates of Penzance" by Gilbert & Sullivan, performed by Linda Ronstadt on the 1983 film soundtrack

Here's the whole scene that goes with "When the Foeman Bares His Steel" from the 1983 movie. Besides Linda/Mabel's bloodthirsty hilarity, check out the cool constable choreography!!

KC Kate's faves week! Friday: Finale to "The Firebird" by Igor Stravinsky, performed by the Cleveland Orchestra

How to answer our Quizet:
