This week on Kids Commute, we’re listening to the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, "The Pirates of Penzance!"
Gilbert & Sullivan were a much-loved musical duo from England during the Victorian Era.
They wrote operettas, which are like operas, except they are much shorter, and usually have a silly or funny storyline and typically have spoken words in addition to singing.
Sort of like a really early musical!
