Join East Bay Corners Farmers Market on Thursdays from 2:00–6:00 PM at the East Bay Township Offices (1965 N. 3 Mile Road, Traverse City).

The market proudly accepts SNAP/EBT benefits and participates in the Grand Traverse County Senior Produce Program to help make fresh, local food accessible to all.

Author and former teacher Eric Hall will be here to talk about his new book, Controlled Chaos: Lessons They Didn't Teach You in Teacher School, and sharing some of the lessons, life-changing moments and hilarious stories this 3-time teacher of the year took away from his 27-year-career in the classroom!

Photographer and Michigan native, Steve Loveless, has been capturing the stunning atmospheres of northern Michigan for decades. From starry skies to local icons and panoramic wonders, this exhibit will explore the captivating images that define his work.

The opening reception on September 26 at 4:00 PM is free and open to the public.

Whether you are aging into Medicare or preparing for the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15th-December 7th), this educational session will provide the basics of Medicare and tips for making informed decisions about your medical insurance from an expert.

HEART OF A TREE, SOUL OF A STORM
OPENING RECEPTION: September 25 from 5-7pm

Creative works rooted in a fallen tree and shaped by the 2025 ice storm that changed the landscape.

​​​In the early morning hours of March 29–30, 2025, a beloved 150+year-old, 70-foot-tall Basswood tree fell during a devastating ice storm. Located at Bier Art Gallery and Pottery Studio, just south of Charlevoix in Norwood Township, the tree was a natural landmark—towering, graceful, and deeply rooted in the community.

Charlevoix Circle of Arts invited artists to honor this fallen icon and the ice storm that changed the landscape through works of art. This juried show will feature artwork created directly from the Basswood tree itself, as well as works inspired by the March 2025 ice storm.

​Recognition will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place works as part of the exhibit.

Exhibit will be open during regular business hours:
Monday - Friday 11am to 4pm
Saturdays 11am to 3pm

Back for a third time, join Full Tilt Comedy and The Dennos for a Halloween-themed improv experience that reimagines the museum through the eyes of ghosts, ghouls, and the hilariously undead. Professional improvisers pose as fictional docents, leading you on a spirited (and entirely made-up) tour of the galleries.

Choose from two tour times: 7pm for a post trick-or-treat or 9:30pm for a darker, more mischievous museum romp.

This event is for ages 16+.

Your ticket includes one drink ticket and spooky snacks.

Experience a rare evening where literature, music, and visual art come together. Enoch Arden, Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s dramatic poem, becomes a vivid multimedia performance through Chris Lane’s expressive narration, Jean Merce Coonrod’s cello, Michael Coonrod’s piano, and framed lithographs depicting the story’s unforgettable scenes.

This is an intimate, story-rich program for audiences who enjoy classical music, poetry, theater, history, and meaningful live performance. The evening invites guests into a world of devotion, hardship, memory, and grace—told through words, music, and images.

Little Dipper returns to the Old Art Building in Leland to bring another romp-stomping night of high energy country hits and middle-school dance ballads.

This time, they’re bringing acclaimed singer/songwriter Elisabeth Pixley-Fink in on it, all the way from Kalamazoo. “Lizzy’s depth of spirit comes through so clearly in her voice and in her songs. Every time I hear her dig in, I feel moved.” - Theo Katzman, Vulfpeck.

It’s sure to be a good old hootenanny, with costumes encouraged! Maybe we’ll see a Dolly or two there.
