May 03 Saturday
The Great Lakes Children's Museum is celebrating the start of Spring with a Spring Family Dance Fun-raiser. Dress up in whatever puts a spring in your step and join us on May 3 from 5-7pm for a night of crafts, pizza and dancing at the Curiosity Place! This event is sponsored by Michigan Education Trust and Two Son's Pizza.
This special event is open to both the general public and GLCM members. For the general public, tickets are $15 per person or $50 for 4 tickets. Members automatically receive $2 off each ticket and $8 off family 4 pack pricing. Tickets include admission to the Curiosity Place, all crafting activities, and dinner from Two Sons Pizza.
Sat. May 3, Blissfest Traditional Community Dance, 7:30 at Littlefield/Alanson Community Building on US31N in Alanson.
Music will be provided by The Hybrids, with Larry Dyer calling. All dances taught (circles, contras, squares and more). No need to bring a partner. Perfect for families.
Potluck at 6:30. Bring table service and dish to pass. $10, $5/student, 12&under free.
May 09 Friday
No drum necessary, but feel to bring an acoustic item of your own making. Earth Blessing will start each even. Dress for outside. Children must stay with the adults; it’s advantageous if kids are old enough to join in on the rhythm that evolves. RSVP nice but not required. No Charge, although a site maintenance donation is accepted. Visit the Google group TC SACRED DRUM CIRCLE for more info, or call: 231-383-0803. https://groups.google.com/g/tc-sacred-drum-circle
