Join GTCD at Hickory Meadows for a quiet, lantern-lit, self-guided hike under the striking beauty of the Blood Moon - a total lunar eclipse that casts the moon in a deep red glow. As winter begins to give way to spring, experience the mystery and stillness of nature after dark.

Bundle up and venture out with the Charlevoix Conservation District and Walloon Lake Association and Conservancy this winter!
Join local tree identification expert Chris Anderson from the Conservation District for an educational hike at WLAC’s Field Preserve to identify as many tree species at this diverse nature preserve as possible.
WLAC will provide snowshoes or crampons for participants, if conditions require them. Directions to the Fields Preserve trailhead can be found here.
Join a conversational tour of the Glen Arbor Arts Center’s current exhibits on March 7, 1 pm. GAAC Gallery Manager Sarah Bearup-Neal leads a Walk + Talk of INteriors, and Small Accomplishments.
INteriors brings to the GAAC Main Gallery work that explores interior spaces real and imagined, in the home and mind. In the GAAC’s Lobby Gallery is Small Accomplishments, a group of acrylic paintings by Leelanau County artist Harvey Gordon that capture unremarkable events with remarkable technique.

The Chalfonte Theatre, in partnership with the Chalfonte Foundation, is proud to present an unforgettable evening with one of Scotland’s most acclaimed traditional bands, The Tannahill Weavers, performing live on The Platform on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Doors open at 4:00 PM, with the concert beginning at 5:00 PM.
The performance will feature two 50-minute sets separated by a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and—thanks to the Chalfonte Foundation’s commitment to arts access—youth ages 25 and under receive 50% off, an initiative designed to encourage young people to experience world-class cultural events and broaden their artistic horizons.
