A panel discussion of the origins of the We Will Not Whisper exhibition takes place March 31, 7- 8:30 pm at Alluvion Arts. The exhibition space is located inside Commongrounds, 414 E. 8th Street,Traverse City, on the second floor. Doors open at 6:30 pm.There is no charge.
The exhibition features the work of 21 women artists who responded to the effects of Project 2025 through paint, fiber, video, and mixed media. Many of the exhibitors are strongly associated with other subject matter, such as landscape painting, and were required to develop new ways of articulating strong feelings and perspectives about current events, and other subjects they would not usually depict. Panelists will talk about the exhibition’s backstory, and the role the visual arts play in addressing topical, contemporary issues.
We Will Not Whisper continues at The Alluvion through April 11. Read more here: https://www.thealluvion.org/featured-exhibit
