Upcoming 2025 Gift Shop Sale Weekends at The Botanic Garden = 20% off storewide!
From garden tools and nature books to local artisan gifts, holiday décor, and botanical treasures, the Gift Shop offers something for everyone. Every purchase supports the Garden’s mission to connect people with plants, nature, and beauty through education and community programs.
Upon your visit, you’ll be welcomed by the Botanic Garden Visitor Center, housed in the historic Granary—a cornerstone of the former Traverse City State Hospital farmstead, built around 1886. Step inside to admire the original stone walls and discover the preserved tunnel that once connected the Granary to the underground root cellar. This remarkable building has been lovingly restored and now serves as the entry point for guests to explore the Garden’s grounds and seasonal exhibits.
“These weekends are the perfect time to shop local, support the Garden, and enjoy a peaceful visit to one of the most beautiful places in Traverse City,” said Matthew Ross, Executive Director of The Botanic Garden.
Whether you’re starting your holiday shopping or simply seeking a quiet moment surrounded by nature and history, these Gift Shop Sale Weekends offer a meaningful way to support local and connect with the community.
