Dr. Jacob Atem will present his unforgettable story as a Lost Boy of Sudan fleeing Arab militias at age 7, walking over 2,000 miles across the African wilderness, and finally being adopted by a Michigan family after spending 9 years in a Kenyan refugee camp. Educating himself with a PhD in Global Health, Jacob committed his life's work to making a difference for the people of South Sudan by co-founding the Southern Sudan Healthcare Organization (SSHCO.org).
