This event is an opportunity for neighbors in the greater Empire/ Glen Lake community to get together around local food and music, while supporting the Empire Area Community Center (EACC) and LIFT (Leelanau Investing for Teens). The music begins at 1:00 p.m. and will end by 7:00 p.m. in the Backyard of Lively Acres at 3805 W. Empire Highway.

The event is free and open to the public, and all musicians are donating their time to help raise funds for these groups. Ian DeGraaf and Emily Alt will co-emcee the event, and share information about the good work of both LIFT and EACC, as well as encourage students from LIFT and other community members to share music, spoken word or other talents at the breaks between scheduled performances.

All profit above food costs will be donated and split between LIFT and EACC. Chips, non-alcoholic drinks and other snacks from the market will also be available for sale.
