The City of Traverse City is inviting community members to participate in an upcoming placemaking workshop focused on the future of the East Side Social District, an effort made possible through a recently awarded $100,000 Community Placemaking Grant from Project for Public Spaces, with support from General Motors.

As part of the first phase of the City’s partnership with Project for Public Spaces, this workshop will help shape a shared vision for enhancing the East Side Social District into a more vibrant, accessible, and welcoming community space. The engagement process reflects a broader commitment to community-driven design, building on the national recognition the project received as one of only a few selected grant recipients across the country.

Community members are encouraged to attend and share their ideas on how the space can better serve residents and businesses.
