Antrim Writers Series -- Author Reading and Book Signing in Elk Rapids

The public is invited to Bos Winery (135 Ames Street) in Elk Rapids on Wednesday, August 26, from 7-8:30 pm for author Chad V. Broughman’s reading of and conversation about his historical fiction novel, “The Fall of Bellwether.”

The first 25 people who register for either event get a free copy of the “Fall of Bellwether.”

Chad V. Broughman is the author of “The Fall of Bellwether,” hailed by the American Writing Awards as “a triumph of literary fiction, deserving of a place among the modern classics.” In addition to earning top ten status in ScreenCraft’s Cinematic Novel Competition and being shortlisted by First Novel Prize, the novel was a finalist for the Page Turner Award and the International Book Award, winner of the Hawthorne Prize, and declared Best Historical Fiction Novel of 2024. Broughman teaches English at Harbor Springs HS and has his MFA from Spaulding University.

These events are part of the Antrim Writers Series, a collaborative project between Crosshatch: Center for Art and Ecology, Grass River Natural Area, the Elk Rapids Public Library, and the Bellaire Public Library.
