A Night at the Museum
A Night at the Museum
The Benzie Area Historical Society presents “A Night at the Museum”! Join us at the Benzie Area Historical Museum & Research Center, 6941 Traverse Ave, Benzonia, MI 49616, for an evening of discovery, conversation, and community as we celebrate the people and stories that shaped Benzie history.
Attendees will explore the museum, where they will meet many Benzie Legends, historical women and men portrayed by museum volunteers. As part of this Great History Hunt, those who complete the activity will receive a special reward!
The evening will also include a Silent Auction. Auction items include a golf outing for four at Crystal Mountain, a historical boat tour of Platte Lake, a tour of Iron Fish Distillery, and many more items! Treats and beverages will be offered.
A special guest will also be attending: a visitor who traveled a great distance from the 1780s to speak with us about President George Washington. Dr. James Craig, George Washington’s personal physician and friend, will be joining us, portrayed by historical presenter and storyteller R.W. Lowe.
Don’t miss this evening of fun and discovery, and help support our museum!
