Up North Lowdown, Ep. 7: The tornado

This week: One year since the Gaylord tornado, school safety in Traverse City, and a pedaling the rails in Grawn.

One year ago, an EF-3 tornado raked its way across northern Michigan. Gaylord took a direct hit.

In this week's episode, IPR's Michael Livingston takes us to Gaylord where the healing and recovery continues.

We also hear from the co-founder of a community group in Traverse City trying to improve school safety by tending to students' needs before there's a major incident.

And we head to Grawn to meet the woman behind a new business that lets you pedal your way down some abandoned railroad tracks.

Thanks for listening!
