Democrats in the state Legislature are renewing their push for new gun control laws – with an early focus on bills to limit the ammunition capacity of semi-automatic weapons.

State Attorney General Dana Nessel said Tuesday that the Oakland County prosecutor’s office will continue to lead the investigation into the Oxford High School shootings.

It's in response to the district superintendent's promise of an independent review.

The suspect, a 15-year-old sophomore, has not yet been charged.
