Astrid Code
IPR Community Engagement ReporterAstrid Code is IPR's community engagement reporter, which means she spends her time finding the stories that matter to our audience and reporting on them.
Before coming to IPR, she covered rural communities in Green Bay for the nonprofit newsroom Wisconsin Watch, in addition to completing internships with Michigan Public and Bridge Michigan. Her work has also been published in the Traverse City Record-Eagle and Glen Arbor Sun. A proud Michigander hailing from Kalamazoo, she graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in English and Arts & Ideas in the Humanities. When she's not reporting, you can find her playing violin, attending a local concert, biking on the TART Trails or cross-country skiing on the Vasa Pathway, depending on the season.
