Malware attacks putting patients' medical records at risk

You may have seen recent news stories describing some U.S. hospitals being hit by malware attacks. 

This "ransomware" works by locking up computers until an amount of money, usually in the form of bitcoins, is paid to the hacker. 

When hospitals are hit, patient records can be in danger.

To learn more, we turned to Kevin Fu. Fu is an associate professor at the University of Michigan and Chief Scientist of Virta Labs, and is credited with establishing the field of medical device security.

Kevin Fu talks with us about malware attacks on hospitals and cyber security for medical devices.
