Join us for Queer Tales Book Club where we chat about books that are by and/or about LGBTQIA+ people. Reading is not required, and everyone is welcome.
We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Nelson Room.

Pressure’s pushing down on us, pressing down on you… Join us for an evening where storytellers tell true, first-person stories about a time in their lives that they were stressed out and feeling the heat.

Join GTCD and the Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network to learn about the importance of native plants and the cold-moist stratification process. Using recycled materials, we will sow seeds in containers to set outside for the remainder of the winter season. Once spring comes, the seeds will germinate at their own rate with very little maintenance - ready to be planted in their new homes soon after!

A shy hobbit discovers his true potential in this play presented by OTP youth performers. Bilbo Baggins unexpectedly joins a group of dwarves on an epic quest to reclaim a stolen treasure from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Their travels take them through dangerous lands, facing trolls, goblins and giant spiders. Along the way, Bilbo finds he is brave, a good friend, and ultimately plays a pivotal role in the battle for the treasure.

The Music House Museum is happy to welcome back Trillium Groove in concert on January 24, 2026, at 7:00PM
“Trillium Groove is an all-girl trio from Northern Michigan made up of Ruby Bardenhagen (piano), Keagan Kalbfleisch (percussion), and SkyeLea Martin (guitar, ukulele). The three met studying Audio Engineering through NMC’s Audio Technology program. Not only do they all sing lead, but they each are songwriters in their own right. Known for their clever selection of covers, and diverse original repertoire Trillium Groove delivers crowd pleasing performances in three-part harmony. The band recently released their first single and music video called “Mindfuzz” and also have merch available for purchase in their EPK at www.sandboxalliance.com”
