Designed for dancers of all ages and skill levels, our Social Dance Classes offer an opportunity to learn new dance styles and enjoy the camaraderie of other dance enthusiasts. Each week, you’ll explore a different dance genre such as salsa, waltz, swing, or tango. Under the guidance of one of Interlochen’s skilled instructors, you’ll learn the steps and techniques—all while connecting with others and gaining confidence on the floor.

Local favorites May Erlewine and Little Dipper join together to bring you a night of country music to dance and sing along to, hosted by the historic Old Art Building. Reprising songs from the best eras of the genre, folks oughta be two-steppin’, line dancin’, and boot-scootin’ all night long. Whether you're there to dance or just sit back and listen, the room will be filled with high energy and classic twang. Adding to the magic, May Erlewine brings back the moniker that she rode in on as Daisy May, blending her soulful presence with the timeless sound of country’s most danceable classics. A night of music, movement, and community you won’t want to miss!

Second Sunday Art Project

Come to the museum and take part in a vibrant participatory artistic experience every second Sunday of the month! From printmaking to painting and weaving, each session offers a unique and creative activity. Second Sundays are supported by the Linda O'Meara Fund for Arts Education. Second Sunday Art Projects are included with museum admission. Please pay admission when you arrive.

This experimental comedy show has a laid-back vibe. Stand-ups test new material, improvisers play with fresh forms, and the unexpected takes center stage. You might catch a sketch, a short play, or even a mini game show.

Grab a drink, bring some friends, and settle in for a night of surprises and laughter at Comedy Lab.

The Oliver Art Center’s upcoming exhibition explores the elements as they inspire artists’ work in a variety of media.

The exhibit showcases the work of Michigan artists who employ oils, wax, printmaking, ceramics and other materials to interpret the effect of elemental properties on the world around us through paintings, photography, ceramics and sculpture.

Something To Smile About: Mixed Media Paintings By Carol C Spaulding

Leelanau County artist Carol C Spaulding brings Something To Smile About, a small group of new mixed media paintings, to the Glen Arbor Arts Center’s Lobby Gallery. The exhibition runs September 2 - December 17.

Working intuitively, Spaulding combines cut-paper collage with exuberant painting. She creates lively compositions in a bright, uplifting palette, full of expressive lines, inserting an array of delightful marks and icons. “I like to begin with an open mind and a playful attitude,” Spaulding said.

Veterans Day, observed annually on November 11, honors all who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This day offers a special opportunity to express gratitude to those who protect the freedoms and liberties we cherish. Free estate planning services include:
