If you are willing to let us scan your photos or are looking to donate them to the organizations, please plan to attend one of the above days. There will be someone onsite to assist with scanning and you will leave with your original documents that day. Thank you!

Get Outdoors! Adaptive Trekking & Biking at Sleeping Bear Dunes with Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes/Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, improving universal access in the Park. Talk with “Friends of Sleeping Bear members,” Kathy Tuckerman & Jeanne Esch, to explore the Track Chair Program & Bike Wheelchair Program at the Sleeping Bear. These programs allow individuals to hike (on 2 trails at the Dunes) or bike (8 miles on the Heritage Trail from the Dune Climb to Glen Arbor) with family and friends. Come & learn about these free, mobility-assisted opportunities.

The Guided Walking History Tours of Traverse City will begin its tenth season on July 9th, following the National Cherry Festival.
The informative tour is about two and a half hours covering a two-mile route. The tours begin at the Perry Hannah Plaza, located at the corner 6th and Union St. near downtown.
There is no charge for the tours, but gratuities for the guides are appreciated. Groups of six or more can schedule tours at other times.
For 2025 our 10:00 AM walking tours begin on Wednesday July 9th and continue daily through October 8th. No reservations are needed, simply arrive by 10:00 AM please.
National Alliance on Mental Illness offers support groups for families and individuals living with a mental health challenge. Groups are confidential, free and no registration is required.

Discover the techniques and tools needed to keep your garden or farm productive through the cold months at the Great Lakes Incubator Farm’s Season Extension & Winter Production Workshop! This workshop will explore strategies for extending the harvest season and producing crops throughout winter, utilizing season-extension tools like row covers and hoop houses, and planning your planting schedule for year-round harvests.
Learn about using high tunnels, low tunnels, cold frames, crop selection and timing for extended winter harvests, and tips for hoop house fertility and temperature management in the cold.

Every year the Conservancy sends out appeals for support to further our mission of protecting land, and every year we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the generosity of our donors. We have found that spending time writing simple yet personal “thank you” notes for our donors is a fantastic way to share our appreciation.
GTRLC will provide all materials for writing “thank you” notes, but please feel free to bring your own writing utensil if you prefer.
Directions: Please meet us at the Conservation Center at Mitchell Creek Meadows Nature Preserve. Park in any designated space and come in the front entrance. We’ll meet you there and put you to work!

The Suttons Bay Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning from 9 AM – 1 PM.
For the 2025 season, we will be at our established location on St. Joseph St. at the north end of the village. Located on the east side of the intersection of M22 and M204 (between Concord St. and Race St.)
