OTP’s youth performers offer a musical retelling of The Princess and the Pea. Join us every second Saturday for a FREE afternoon of hands-on discovery! Families are invited to enjoy interactive experiences in science, history, and art while exploring the museum’s indoor and outdoor exhibits—including live animals and nature displays.

Curious about pottery, but not ready to commit to a full multi-week session? This one day workshop offers the perfect chance to have a hands-on opportunity to experience the magic of creating on the potter’s wheel. Working on the wheel, for just three hours, offers a fun introduction to the process-and every attempt is part of the learning experience. The basics of wedging, centering, and shaping will be explored with the guidance of an experienced potter.Enjoy one-on-one support and a relaxed, creative atmosphere at our Thoreson Farm studio.

While finished pieces aren’t guaranteed, if you create something you’d like to keep, you may need to return during Open Studio to glaze your piece at a later date.

All materials and tools are provided—just bring your curiosity and willingness to try new things.

NOTE: Finished pieces are normally ready for pick up within 2-4 weeks.

ALCOHOL INK: BEAUTIFUL BIRDS
JUNE 15, 2026, Monday, 10am - 4pm

CLASS FEE: $125, or $112.50 for members​
FORMAT: in-person

Apply the magic of alcohol inks to a specific subject as you learn to paint the bird of your choice. Through step by-step demonstrations, you will learn to achieve intricate detail and precision within a fluid medium.

Takeaway: A finished, intricate bird painting and personalized guidance on ink control.

Supplies included for $15 supply (please pay instructor directly at beginning of class).​​
