Round up the family and head out to Coy Mountain, located at 9011 Valley St. in Alden, to enjoy a romp in the woods and reading a good book along the way.
The story is placed along a 1/2-mile portion of the trail, and trail is open daily from dawn to dusk.
The storybook for the month of October is “The Honeybee” by Kristen Hall. Sponsored by Alden District Library.
Led by Marivi Bryant, founder of HOME Agency, a people-first creative and strategy firm based in Traverse City, this workshop explores how arts organizations and artists can use storytelling and social media to inspire connection and drive fundraising. With experience helping mission-driven brands grow through authentic content and community engagement, Marivi will guide participants in identifying their unique stories, translating them into meaningful online communication, and using simple strategies to turn audiences into advocates and supporters.

Come to Alden District Library during the month of October to enjoy a display of 3D printed creations made by Candace Flanagin of Dragoncore 3D.
The display is free to view during library hours: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 9:30-5:00; Tue 9:30-6:00; and Sat 9:30-2:00.
