On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the Michigan Rattlers, the acclaimed folk-rock band hailing from Petoskey, will headline a special benefit concert at Bliss Gardens Farm and Community Kitchen.
Doors will open 5:30 PM, inviting concertgoers to bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxed evening on the lawn. The night will kick off with a special outdoor set at 6:00 PM by BWCA co-founders and celebrated local musicians Michelle Chenard and Pete Kehoe, whose decades-long musical partnership began with a serendipitous meeting on Mackinac Island.
The Michigan Rattlers will perform at 7:30 PM inside the Bliss Gardens barn, creating an intimate setting for their high-energy folk-rock sound. The lawn seating is “listen-only” and does not have a line-of-sight into the barn performance.
Proceeds from the event will benefit BWCA’s music programs at Pellston Public Schools, where the 2025-26 school year will mark the fifth year of the after-school Rock Jam program. Through Rock Jam and other initiatives, BWCA continues to nurture creativity and community while offering free music education across Northern Michigan.
Low Gap is primed to take the country music world by storm. Recently featured in Rolling Stone, brothers Gus and Phin Johnson are young musicians already making an impact with their authentic writing and catchy tunes. With roots in Eastern Kentucky and Southeastern Ohio, Gus and Phin grew up listening to bluegrass and Americana music. That – combined with folk, country, and classic and southern rock – creates the unique tone that has become the duo's signature sound.
Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are $20 in advance/$25 at the door ($5 discount for certain Bay membership levels).
Tickets to all Live at the Bay Fall 2025 shows are general admission and on sale now. Ticketing, event, and membership information is available at TheBayTheatre.com. The Lightfoot Band is not a tribute act—these are the original musicians who recorded and toured with Gordon Lightfoot for decades. Featuring Rick Haynes (bass), Barry Keane (drums), Mike Heffernan (keyboards), and Carter Lancaster (guitar), the band is joined by Andy Mauck on vocals and guitar, honoring Lightfoot’s legacy while playing Gord's trademark Martin D-18 and Gibson B-45 guitars.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald tragedy and Lightfoot’s iconic song inspired by it. The Lightfoot Band delivers unforgettable performances of this and other classics, including “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Sundown,” “Early Morning Rain,” and deeper cuts from Gordon’s catalog - some of which haven’t been played live in decades. The Lightfoot Band brings a rare authenticity to Gordon’s music, having performed it live at legendary venues like Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and on shows like Saturday Night Live.
Every performance is enriched with stories from the band’s years alongside Gordon, offering a deeper connection to his life and music. After the show, fans have the unique opportunity to meet the musicians, share their memories, and connect with the legacy of one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time.
