Learn diverse dance styles and make new friends in a warm and welcoming environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced dancer, everyone is invited to join the fun.

Designed for dancers of all ages and skill levels, our Social Dance Classes offer an opportunity to learn new dance styles and enjoy the camaraderie of other dance enthusiasts. Each week, you’ll explore a different dance genre such as salsa, waltz, swing, or tango. Under the guidance of one of Interlochen’s skilled instructors, you’ll learn the steps and techniques—all while connecting with others and gaining confidence on the floor.

The classes emphasize the joy of moving to the music, sharing laughs, and creating memorable moments. Come dance with us and experience the delight of social dancing.

The purpose of the East Bay Corners Farmers Market is to provide fresh and locally grown products, educate the public on the importance of farming best practices, promote local agriculturally based business development, forge partnerships with local farmers and community partners, and create a community gathering space at the Township Hall. East Bay Corners Farmers Market accepts SNAP/EBT benefits and also offers a Power of Produce program for kids ages 5-13. There is family-friendly programming throughout the summer including live music, food trucks, and family game nights. It is a great night out for the whole family.

The Market will open on June 5, 2025 and run until October 2, 2025. It will be held on Thursdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Township Hall at 1965 N. 3 Mile Road Traverse City, MI 49696. The National Writers Series is delighted to welcome Angela Flournoy, National Book Award finalist and author of “The Turner House,” to the Milliken Auditorium on October 3rd to discuss her eagerly anticipated second book, “The Wilderness,” a hilarious and emotionally moving foray into the enduring bonds of found family amidst a restless and often volatile America.

Spanning two decades in the lives of five Black women, “The Wilderness” traces their journeys through young adulthood and into midlife as they navigate motherhood, ambition, estrangement, viral fame, and building lives in rapidly shifting cities. With nuance and depth, Flournoy explores the complexities of contemporary womanhood and the connections that sustain us.

The Elk Rapids Farmers Market is brought to you by the Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. This Friday morning market offers a wide selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh flowers and plants, baked goods, cheese, meats and fish, jams, maple syrup, local honey, coffee and tea, lavender products and so much more! In 2025, the Market is open every Friday from 8:00am to Noon from May 30th through October 3rd.

Explore the connection the Anishinaabe, Grand Traverse Bay's ancestral residents, have to the Bay. Tera John, a Knowledge Carrier and Story Keeper from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians will be our guide as Manitou sails across the waters that have been a vital resource since time immemorial.

Join us at the East Bay Branch Library for a visit from our friends from North Sky Raptor Sanctuary to learn about birds of prey and their habitat, meet two "Raptor Ambassadors" and browse a hands-on artifacts table full of fun and educational items centered around birds of prey.

No signup is required for this free, all ages event.

This will take place in the North Conference Room of the East Bay Township Building, across the parking lot from the library.

For the third year, The Dynami Foundation’s Uncork Up North curates an unforgettable evening including a strolling dinner crafted by some of Northern Michigan’s most acclaimed chefs. Guests will be treated to fine food and exceptional wine—all for a great cause.
