ISN is hosting their second annual Beats at the Barn on 6/26/2026.
Grab a drink from Stormcloud Brewing Company, some food from Taqueria Mosqueda, and settle in to listen to Frankfort's Stay At Home Sons play some music.
This event will also include an item raffle with various items, and yard games to play!
Tickets include one free drink ticket. Enjoy a fun night while also supporting a local nonprofit!

Round up the family and head out to Coy Mountain, located at 9011 Valley St. in Alden, to enjoy a romp in the woods and reading a good book along the way.
A new story will be placed each month and covers about a 1/2-mile portion of the trail. Open daily from dawn to dusk. The storybook for the month of June is “The Home Builders” by Varsha Bajaj. Sponsored by Alden District Library
Try a 204-mile trek from Au Gres on Lake Huron to Ludington on Lake Michigan or… a 100-mile loop that begins and ends at Stearns Park.
The Traverse City Spring Series concludes at Flintfields Horse Park with the $181,200 CSI4* Grand Prix. This four-star event brings international riders to Traverse City for an afternoon of competition, hospitality, and one of Northern Michigan’s signature summer traditions.
Guests can enjoy food, drinks, shopping, and lawn seating throughout the venue. General admission proceeds this week support Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trails, known as TART Trails.

Join us on Sunday, June 28th for the first Blessing of the Dougherty Legacy American Chestnut Blossoms at 1pm at the 1842 Dougherty Mission House at 18459 Mission Road on Old Mission Peninsula. See the unique pollination process at 1:30 conditions permitting.
Learn about our efforts to continue Rev. Dougherty's living legacy at the oldest house in the region built by Chief Agosa, the Odawa and Ojibwe who lived on the shores of East Bay and Rev. Peter Dougherty.

About This EventOne of our region’s most aggressive invasive species, autumn olive, has been living at the Schuler Farm for far too long! Join staff from GTRLC and CAKE CISMA in removing this shrubby invader from a conservation easement property.
The Basics:GTRLC will teach you everything you need to know about tool use, safety, and how to remove autumn olive. No prior experience is necessary! This event will be moderately strenuous, with participants using hand loppers to remove branches, and often bending over to grab and drag branches. Please take your time and work at your own pace, and contact us if you would like to learn more about the available tasks for the day.
Directions: This work session will take place in GTRLC's northeast region, in the Skegemog Lake area. Due to this work taking place on a private property, only registered participants will be sent the exact meeting location.

About This EventHelp us give GTRLC’s trails some TLC! Join us to tackle a variety of tasks aimed at improving and maintaining the incredible habitats and access to nature that the Arcadia Marsh Nature Preserve provides.
The Basics: GTRLC will supply gloves and tools. We will teach you everything you need to know about tool use, safety, and trail maintenance. No prior experience necessary! A range of activities is available from lightweight trimming with loppers to more heavy-duty weed whipping or electric trimmer operation. Participants will hike up to 1.5 miles on the boardwalk carrying tools. There is a porta john available at the St. Pierre end of the boardwalk.
Registration is appreciated but is not required. Cancellations due to weather or any other reason will be communicated with registered participants via email.

About This EventHelp us build a brand new trail system at The Ridge! Join us for this work session and get a sneak peek of a property that’s not yet open to the public. Volunteers will help protect the valuable habitat on this property by constructing sustainable and strategically-planned sections of trail. This will create access and help guide future use on this property while protecting the most vulnerable parts of the special habitats found here.
The Basics: GTRLC will supply gloves and tools. We will teach you everything you need to know about tool use, safety, and trail maintenance. No prior experience necessary! This will be a moderately strenuous work session, with volunteers carrying and using hefty trail tools. Participants will be hiking up to 2 miles of trail at a moderate pace. Lighter tasks such as vegetation trimming with loppers will be available.
