The Alanson Area Public Library Used Book Sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 14th and 15th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Littlefield-Alanson Community Building 7631 S US Highway 31 in downtown Alanson. Hosted by Friends of the Alanson Area Public Library (FOAL), books are by donation to help support the library. Rain or shine!

The Northport Arts Association is proud to present the 2026 Northport Harbor of Creativity Invitational Exhibit, launching August 15th with an Opening Reception on Saturday from 5–7pm at the Village Arts Building (301 N. Mill St., Northport, MI). This popular exhibit is a must-see for painting enthusiasts.
The Opening Reception is free and open to the public, featuring complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. The exhibit will run from August 16th through September 12th, gallery hours Tuesday through Sunday, 12–4 PM.

In memory of Joe and Jane Muer, this giant community collage with over 200 canvases, created by local artists, is on display beginning June 6th. Each piece is priced at $40.00 with all proceeds benefiting programming at the Oliver Art Center.

Come to the museum and join an informal tour of our current exhibitions with one of our docents.
Tours are free with museum admission and will begin at 12:00 PM. Please meet by the front desk a few minutes before the tour begins.
Wake Up North is a nonprofit organization that teaches kids how to wakesurf.
On August 18th, we are hosting a surf session on Long Lake from 5-7 pm, and we have three (3) seats available for kids between the ages of 11-15.
