TART Trails and Up North Pride are hosting the annual Rainbow Run, a color fun run and fundraiser around the Boardman Lake Loop Trail.

On June 20, 2026, the event will celebrate the trail systems and the Northern Michigan 2SLGBTQ+ Community during Pride Month. Participants and spectators will be invited to Hull Park to enjoy music and refreshments before and after the run.

The run/walk route will take participants counterclockwise around the 4-mile Boardman Lake Loop Trail. There will be five distinct and separated stations along the route for participants to receive their colors.

Pre-Registration | $25 Student (17 and under) / $30 Adult (18+) | must register by May 30th to guarantee a t-shirt & early bird pricing

THEME: GARDEN PARTY
During this week of art camp students will have the chance to work collaboratively on group art installations designed to be displayed outdoors. These projects will emphasize teamwork, creative thinking and the use of natural and upcycled materials. This special segment of the camp encourages outdoor engagement and offers a unique opportunity for participants to see their artwork in the environment, utilizing wind power, while also giving birds a place to make their own.

Each camper will create and build a bird house and other outdoor creations like whirly gigs and garden art!

Come have fun with us at French Valley! Enjoy live music, locally crafted drinks, kid-friendly options, and tasty snacks for the whole family.

From June through August, Norte hosts Balance Bike Club meetups for first-time riders in Traverse City and Elk Rapids.

These low-key, drop-in affairs are fun for everyone—no need to bring your bike, as we have plenty to lend out.

From 10:30AM-11:30AM Wednesdays in Elk Rapids at the Rotary Park. Balance Bike Meet-Ups ​are for riders ages​ ​2–5​.

Known for beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets, the Sunset Beach Bonfire Series is a way to celebrate it all.

On the last Thursday of June, July and August, you are invited to bring your beach chairs and blankets to Stearns Park Beach to enjoy a true Up North evening that includes a bonfire, music and a beautiful sunset. Mark your calendar for June 25, July 30, and August 27, 2026.

Celebrate summer with golden sands, cool water, warm fire and beautiful sky. Sunset Bonfires are open to the public and free to attend, from 8-10 PM
