Known for beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets, the Sunset Beach Bonfire Series is a way to celebrate it all.
On the last Thursday of June, July and August, you are invited to bring your beach chairs and blankets to Stearns Park Beach to enjoy a true Up North evening that includes a bonfire, music and a beautiful sunset. Mark your calendar for June 25, July 30, and August 27, 2026.
Celebrate summer with golden sands, cool water, warm fire and beautiful sky. Sunset Bonfires are open to the public and free to attend, from 8-10 PM

Join the Glen Lake Association's watershed biologists on a fun and educational hands-on tour of Glen Lake on our Discovery Boat (ages 8+). As you cruise along the water, you’ll learn how area lakes were formed, what influences water quality, how to keep the watershed healthy, and so much more.
Two-hour tours run twice per day at 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on June 26, July 10, July 18, July 24, July 31, August 14.

Future stars of equestrian sport take center stage at Flintfields Horse Park during the $116,000 CSI3* Grand Prix and FEI North American Youth Championship U25 Grand Prix Freestyle. International competition, youth championship sport, and summer hospitality come together during one of the season’s most unique weekends.
General admission proceeds this week support Peace Ranch through the Traverse City Horse Shows Charity Ticket Program.

HOWL’s Wild About Nature Summer Camp is the ultimate outdoor adventure for young nature lovers! At HOWL, children enjoy the wonders of the natural world through hands-on exploration and discovery. While hiking forest trails, campers will track wildlife. Kids will unleash their creativity through journaling and art, play exciting group games, and build lifelong skills and friendships along the way. Whether your child is a budding naturalist or just loves being outside, HOWL’s Wild About Nature Summer Camp is the perfect place to explore, create, and grow — all while falling in love with the great outdoors!
