Explore the vibrant world of acrylic painting using palette knives in this beginner-friendly class. Students will discover the unique qualities of different acrylic brands, experiment with color mixing, and learn to create a variety of shades. Eleonora will provide lots of demonstrations on different landscape painting techniques.

Bring a photo of your favorite summer scene, and by the end of the class, you’ll have a completed landscape painting to take home!

This year’s series features a fresh lineup of artists for 2026, giving returning and new students alike the opportunity to explore new perspectives. This is a class to not only learn the techniques of still life painting but also learn about the methods of history’s great still life painters. Each class will start with a brief illustrated presentation, beginning with The History of Still Life Painting and subsequently covering artists such as Cézanne, Manet, Picasso and Hockney.

Following the presentations, students will seek to incorporate ideas learned into their own paintings. The instructor will give frequent demonstrations and provide close personal attention to each student. This is a series of individual classes. Join us for one session or all four.

Nourish your spirit of experimentation in this high-energy session focused on the "flow" of water. You will discover wet-in-wet techniques and learn the simplicity of dragging, splattering, and spraying to bring fields, trees, and waves to life.

Curious about pottery, but not ready to commit to a full multi-week session? This one day workshop offers the perfect chance to have a hands-on opportunity to experience the magic of creating on the potter’s wheel. Working on the wheel, for just three hours, offers a fun introduction to the process-and every attempt is part of the learning experience. The basics of wedging, centering, and shaping will be explored with the guidance of an experienced potter.Enjoy one-on-one support and a relaxed, creative atmosphere at our Thoreson Farm studio.

While finished pieces aren’t guaranteed, if you create something you’d like to keep, you may need to return during Open Studio to glaze your piece at a later date.

All materials and tools are provided—just bring your curiosity and willingness to try new things.

NOTE: Finished pieces are normally ready for pick up within 2-4 weeks.

ALCOHOL INK: BEAUTIFUL BIRDS

Apply the magic of alcohol inks to a specific subject as you learn to paint the bird of your choice. Through step by-step demonstrations, you will learn to achieve intricate detail and precision within a fluid medium.

Takeaway: A finished, intricate bird painting and personalized guidance on ink control.
