A space for people to share and listen to stories from our lives based on a theme of the evening. Join Kingsley Branch Library & The Kingsley Folk School for a storytelling community circle. Inspired by NPR's The Moth storytelling hour, the Everyone Has a Story series welcomes you to share your personal stories with others to create connections in our community.
Presenters will be given 5 minutes to share stories from their lived experiences with an open-minded circle of fellow storytellers.
Every second Thursday of the month.
This event is FREE and open to the public of all ages.
TADL and Citizens Climate Lobby are partnering to bring you this facilitated film series about various aspects of climate change and how it affects people and our region. Each evening in this series you'll watch a short film or two and then participate in an open discussion about the topic with local environmental enthusiasts and experts.

Presented by Crooked Tree Arts Center of Traverse City, join us for an inspiring evening as we host a special reading for Ekphrastic 2, an exhibit that celebrates the connection between visual art and the written word. Sixteen artists have shared their artwork, and local writers have responded with poetry, short stories, and reflections inspired by the pieces on display.
Everyone is welcome! Come celebrate creativity in all its forms and help us continue to grow the presence of literary arts at Crooked Tree and in our community.

The Grateful Gathering opens the GAAC’s 2025 Small Works Holiday Exhibition, an annual showcase of 2D + 3D work that offers small, original art at affordable prices, $150 or less. The exhibition is November 5 – December 17, 2025, and features more than 100 works of art, 12” x 12” or smaller, by 19 artists working in glass, mixed media, collage, needlework, paper, paint, clay, and photography.
The Small Works exhibit may be previewed, either in the GAAC gallery or online from November 5 - 13. Small Works objects will be available for purchase at the Grateful Gathering on November 14, 6 - 8 pm. Artwork purchases continue through December 17. The Music House is thrilled to welcome back two of our favorite local performers, Miriam Pico and David Chown, for a very special concert on Friday November at 7:00PM
Miriam is local legend who has been chosen multiple times by area voters as Northern Express' "Best Solo Artist" and Traverse Magazine's "Red Hot Best Singer/Songwriter". She is also the founder and owner of Little Bird School of Song.
David is known locally and nationally for his amazing piano playing. He is a performer and educator with degrees in Piano Technology and Jazz Studies. He is the owner of Lookout Music Productions Studio where he teaches and records. David also is an Audio Technology instructor at NMC. With more than 30 years of professional performance, his skills are truly breathtaking.
