Salsa & Scarecrow Day at The Botanic Garden

Salsa & Scarecrow Day at The Botanic Garden

Celebrate the season with creativity and community at Salsa & Scarecrow Day, taking place on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park. This family-friendly event invites guests of all ages to build their own scarecrow, sample fresh salsa, and enjoy autumn in full swing.

For just $10 per family, participants receive a scarecrow-building kit that includes a frame, burlap, and straw. Families are encouraged to bring their own clothing, accessories, and imagination to bring their scarecrow to life. Completed scarecrows will be displayed throughout the Garden through October 31, adding seasonal flair to the landscape.

New this year, guests can enjoy a salsa tasting station, highlighting fresh fall flavors as part of the harvest celebration.

“Events like this help families build traditions that last,” said Matthew Ross, Executive Director of The Botanic Garden. “It’s about spending time together, outdoors, doing something fun and meaningful.”

Sign up today and start (or continue) a family tradition!
