John Wemlinger won the Michigan Notable Book Award for The Cut, his historical fiction about the conflict in Manistee County Portage Lake area between lumbermen, cattlemen, and the railroad in the late 1800s.
He'll discuss the book and the interesting history behind it, including why Onekama exists.
Mr Wemlinger's presentation will be followed by a short business meeting.
