"Music of America" is a stirring celebration of American spirit and musical storytelling, bringing together patriotic classics, timeless melodies, and powerful works that reflect the heart and diversity of our country.
The evening opens with the Star-Spangled Banner and marches into American favorites like Americans We and Indiana (Back Home Again in Indiana). Beautiful folk-inspired pieces by Percy Grainger, the vibrant El Relicario, and Aaron Copland’s iconic Fanfare for the Common Man stir emotion and pride.
Norman Dello Joio’s Scenes from “The Louvre” transports you through music inspired by history and art, while the night closes with unforgettable selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera—a Broadway masterpiece that continues to move audiences around the world.
Patriotic, nostalgic, and boldly American—this concert is a tribute to music that unites us.
