Join us for a conversation with Christine Yared, author of "Private Love, Public School" , a 2022 Michigan Notable Book. Her book explores the troubling ordeal of Gerry Crane, a talented high school music teacher, beloved by students and parents, and lauded as one of the best teachers at his school. However, his world was upturned once word spread that he had married a man. Ms. Yared’s narrative carefully documents this case study of discrimination and intolerance.
