Nomi Indivisible, along with Between the Covers bookstore and McLean and Eakin Booksellers, is pleased to sponsor the Meet the Primary Candidates forum in Petoskey on April 7th.

The MI-01 Meet the Candidates Project involves a series of eleven non-partisan events bringing candidates directly to communities across the 1st Congressional District early in the election cycle. All too often, voters in rural communities have limited opportunities to engage directly with the candidates. This event aims to change that by bringing the candidates to the voters.

This is a moderated and structured forum in which candidates will be asked to respond to questions of specific interest to our community. All major primary candidates have been invited to participate in the forum, which will be grounded in fairness and respect.

Four candidates have confirmed their participation: Kyle Blomquist - Democrat (Iron Mountain), Justin Michal - Republican (Grayling), Zebulon Featherley - Independent (Traverse City) and Wayne Stiles - Democrat (Traverse City).
