Kiss the Ground film screening sponsored by Citizens Climate Lobby
Citizens Climate Lobby is sponsoring a screening of the 2020 film “Kiss the Ground." This movie has quickly become the iconic story of how soil health is a key part of the solution in the worldwide effort to address our climate emergency.
Narrated by Woody Harrelson and featuring soil experts from the Soil Conservation Service as well as regular farmers and ranchers, it comprehensively reviews the science as well as on-the-ground efforts to build up soil while sequestering carbon out of the atmosphere and putting it back into the ground.
A brief panel discussion after the screening will include local farmers and MEAEP Technician Adam Brown from Leelanau Conservation District.
Opportunity for a short conversation about the issues raised by the film will follow the panelist talk.
We hope you can join us for this informative and important film, with a run time 84 of minutes.
