Great Lakes Environmental Festival
4th annual Great Lakes Environmental Festival (GLEF) is taking place this year on World Water Day (March 22). The schedule includes 4 films about the efforts of indigenous people to rebuild a sustainable environment, speakers from Ludington-based AFFEW (A Few Friends for the Environment of the World) and Traverse City-based SEEDS plus presentations by State Rep. Curt VanderWall, EGLE (Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy), USDA, Manistee Conservation District, District 10 Public Health Department and more. There is an Environmental EXPO with water industry vendors, service providers and others.
