Cerus Quartet Open Rehearsal
Cerus Quartet Open Rehearsal
The Glen Arbor Arts Center’s Manitou Music Series, in partnership with Interlochen Public Radio’s Sound Garden Project, welcomes the award-winning Cerus Quartet as its 2026 Musician-in-Residence from June 8–20. During their two-week residency, the saxophone quartet will share music through performances, open rehearsals, school visits, and Sound Samples—interactive musical experiences in parks, shops, and other locations throughout the Glen Arbor area. This residency is part of the Sound Garden Project, which is dedicated to “planting classical music in unexpected places,” from beaches and parks to porches and public spaces.
At this open rehearsal, get an inside look at the creative process as Cerus Quartet prepares for upcoming performances. These interactive sessions offer audiences the opportunity to observe rehearsals, hear works in progress, ask questions, and chat with the musicians. Especially popular with musicians, music students, and anyone curious about chamber music. Weather dependent, canceled if raining.
