Autumn Olive removal at Schuler Farm Conservation Easement
Autumn Olive removal at Schuler Farm Conservation Easement
About This Event
One of our region’s most aggressive invasive species, autumn olive, has been living at the Schuler Farm for far too long! Join staff from GTRLC and CAKE CISMA in removing this shrubby invader from a conservation easement property.
The Basics:
GTRLC will teach you everything you need to know about tool use, safety, and how to remove autumn olive. No prior experience is necessary! This event will be moderately strenuous, with participants using hand loppers to remove branches, and often bending over to grab and drag branches. Please take your time and work at your own pace, and contact us if you would like to learn more about the available tasks for the day.
Directions: This work session will take place in GTRLC's northeast region, in the Skegemog Lake area. Due to this work taking place on a private property, only registered participants will be sent the exact meeting location.
Registration is required for this event. please click here. Registered participants will be notified via email if this event is modified or canceled.
