The Traverse City Philharmonic kicks off its 2025–26 concert season with a cabaret-style performance at the TC Phil Center on September 12 and 13.

Titled "No Sugarcoating," the show launches the Philharmonic's new Series at the Center, which is a departure from its traditional concert format.

This revue-style evening features performers Kate Botello, Lynne Church, Cory Goodrich and Jane Rhodes, all seasoned artists with backgrounds in musical theatre and jazz. The show also features live accompaniment by Maestro Kevin Rhodes on the Philharmonic’s concert grand piano.

"We are all wildly different performers, but have mad respect for each other's talent," says Kate Botello. "And we've all had all kinds of fascinating conversations that are actually going to end up in this cabaret."

For this event, the TC Phil Center transforms into a relaxed nightclub atmosphere, complete with a bar offering local beer and wine, a signature cocktail and flexible seating at café-style tables where guests can enjoy beverages and food.

From the TC Phil: "Join four women with decades of stage and real-life experience at the TC Phil Center Nightclub for a cabaret evening of songs with stories about real life as it’s lived… not just pretty tunes! Musical favorites and plenty of new discoveries, accompanied by Maestro Rhodes at the piano."
