Spring is here, and Music by Request has two special editions coming up in the first half of April.
On the weekend of April 5 and April 6, IPR will be in the midst of our spring drive for listener support. For Saturday, April 5, we are asking listeners to make requests for classical music that will help us keep up the momentum and energy as we encourage listeners to support IPR.
These special spring drive-edition requests will air only on Saturday, April 5. During the afternoon time slot on Sunday, April 6, Classical IPR will broadcast music from Classical 24 instead of an encore of Music by Request.
Then, on the weekend of April 12 and 13, we are having a special themed episode of Music by Request. The theme is Rodgers & Hammerstein, so please request your favorite music by one or both members of this iconic Broadway duo.
This special Rodgers & Hammerstein episode of Music by Request is in celebration of the Interlochen student revue happening on Saturday, April 26 as well as a fundraising event for Interlochen Public Radio happening the same night.
