At the end of this week, the planet Saturn makes its annual opposition with the sun, from among the stars of Aquarius, where it’s not too far from one of the Four Royal Stars of Ancient Persia, the star Fomalhaut.
Fomalhaut marks the mouth of the Southern Fish, not to be confused with Pisces, and appears to drink the waters flowing from the jug of the Aquarian Waterman, which has a lot to do with its story.
Fomalhaut will rise in the southeast just left of Saturn after sunset, and because of its position near the cusp of Pisces and Aquarius, this star is connected with the evolutionary shift from one cultural age to the next, from the Piscean into the Aquarian Age.
This future age, as indicated by this star, inspires future vision for an evolved, humanitarian-based society that sees an emphasis shift from the material world to the spiritual.
Ancient stories describe how the Southern Fish, with its wide open mouth at the star Fomalhaut, swallowed the waters of the great deluge, thereby saving the world. So these are all dynamic qualities aligned to this star.

Fomalhaut promotes the flow of resources within the human populous that creates a wholesome human condition. In this season, all of that gets coupled with the planet Saturn, long-associated with Father Time and with the constellation region of Aquarius, so the accent this weekend is very much on remaining true to our ideals as a way to sense how such a future can inform our present activity and tasks.
In other words, we are being asked to follow our good star!
