Revisit a 2025 World Youth Symphony Orchestra performance of the Symphony no. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff, conducted by Delyana Lazarova.

On June 29, 2025, Interlochen's World Youth Symphony Orchestra gave their first performance of the summer.

The high school musicians in the orchestra had known each other less than a week when they came together to perform the Symphony no. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Delyana Lazarova was the guest conductor.

Revisit that performance on demand in this episode of the Interlochen Collection.

The concert recording featured on this program was engineered by Michael Culler.

Additional archival recordings heard on this program are available thanks in part to The Association for Recorded Sound Collections' Classical Music Preservation Grant, support from IPR listeners and the Hamer D. and Phyllis C. Shafer Foundation.
