Shawn K Roach

Bryan Gruley is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist for reporting he did on the 9/11 terror attacks as a reporter at the Wall Street Journal. But these days, he’s known for his crime thrillers, including the “Starvation Lake” trilogy. His latest book is called “Bitterfrost,” and it takes place in a fictional town of the same name in northern Michigan. Bryan spoke with fellow author John U. Bacon at the Alluvion in Traverse City in September of 2025.
