Rick Atkinson is a three-time Pulitzer Prize winning author: once for national reporting, and twice for history. He’s written eight books about military history, including his Liberation trilogy, which is a history of the American role in the liberation of Europe in World War II. Now, Rick’s in the middle of writing what is known as his Revolution Trilogy about the American Revolution. The first volume in the series was called “The British Are Coming,” and now he’s come out with the second book, “The Fate of the Day.” Rick spoke with Doug Stanton at the City Opera House in Traverse City in May of 2025.
