Trevi Fountain was among the inspirations for "Fountains of Rome" by Ottorino Respighi.

This week, listeners chose orchestral classics by Respighi and Ravel, film soundtracks and solos featuring hammer dulcimer, piano and percussion.

Today's episode of Music by Request featured works composed by Clara Schumann, Catrin Finch and Richard Rodgers.

The program also included performances by Evelyn Glennie, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Cambridge Singers.
