On Saturday, September 21, IPR's music director Amanda Sewell will be meeting listeners at the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra concert at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Bay Harbor.
The concert will feature the world premiere of David Lockington's Violet Viola Concerto, a work celebrating the birth of his granddaughter Violet. Lockington will conduct the performance, and the GLCO's music director Libor Ondras will be the violist.
The program will also feature Rossini's Il signor Bruschino Overture and Ginastera's Variaciones Concertantes.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. Libor Ondras and David Lockington will give a pre-concert talk at 5:45 p.m.
Join Sewell in the GLCFA lobby before either the pre-concert talk or the concert to give your feedback about Classical IPR.
Additional opportunities to meet IPR's music director will be announced this fall.
