Twin Lakes, twin lawsuits

Ownership of Twin Lakes Park, just west of Traverse City, was recently transferred from Grand Traverse County to Long Lake Township.

The land was donated to the county in 1941 under one condition: the land must remain a county park forever.

It’s now the subject of two ongoing lawsuits.

The Record-Eagle’s Aly Kleidon has been covering the story.

Also, Ludacris has canceled his performance at the 100th anniversary of the National Cherry Festival. His reason — an “unforeseen scheduling conflict.”
