From Bach to Bozza: A trio of student string quartets prepare to perform in town

Three string quartets from Interlochen Arts Academy will be performing at the City Opera House in Traverse City tonight, Friday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. as a part of the new Interlochen in Town series.

This concert, "The Art of Chamber Music from Bach to Bozza," will be a presentation of classical chamber music showcase from Interlochen students and faculty.

Kate visited the Music Center on Interlochen's campus to meet the musicians and hear the three Haydn string quartets they'll be performing at the concert.

The first quartet is made up of Charlotte Fong from Hong Kong,
Winter Wu from Beijing, China, Lily Wodzisz from Grosse Pointe, MI and Cecelia McVicker from Centerburg, OH. They will be performing Haydn's String Quartet Opus 74, No. 3.

The second quartet will perform Haydn's String Quartet Opus 76 No. 4 and features musicians Jee Won Lee from Glastonbury, CT, Alice Song from Toronto, Ontario, Bailey Rickman from Southport, NC and Griffin Jones from Taylors, SC.

Ari Han from Harrisonburg, VA, Jane Finlayson-Fife from Winnetka, IL, Greyson Geisness from Clearwater, FL and Owen Aycock from Lubbock, TX will perform String Quartet Op. 76 No. 5 as the third quartet.
