Classical IPR recently welcomed a wind quintet of high school Interlochen Arts Camp musicians to Studio A.
They named themselves C9, in honor of the building on the Interlochen campus where they practice.
The C9 Quintet performed a movement of a wind quintet by the 19th-century German composer August Klughardt.
They also each spoke highly of their experiences at camp, including getting to know other young musicians from around the world, performing in top-tier ensembles such as the World Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Interlochen Philharmonic and hearing performances by renowned faculty members.
"Not only can I make great music with great musicians," clarinetist Aldo Villanueva said, "but I can also get to know them personally."
