While school is out for summer, we're giving you a sneak peak into this season of Intermezzo's content. This is Summer School with the Lang Lang Young Scholars.
Some teens went on summer vacations to the beach or the movies, but the Lang Lang Young Scholars have spent this summer touring around the world. They even stopped by northern Michigan venues for a series of special recitals and events.
About Julian Zhu

Interests: chess and music composition
Tell us something about Manchester.
"There are two football clubs. People chant about wearing blue when cheering for Manchester City. I know because I used to live within walking distance of the stadium."
What are you thinking about while performing music?
"I think it's important in music to portray emotions, and I like to do that through narratives. Schumann imagines an old Greek tale about an ocean and someone swimming across it every night."
